Feeling anxious is a very normal reaction when faced with a challenge however it becomes a problem when the anxiety starts to effect our day to day to lives. Anxiety arises when we have a fear of a future event. Anxiety is triggered by our thoughts which produces powerful emotions including that feeling of impending doom that something awful is about to happen.

Hypnosis is a powerful tool in helping you to relax your mind and body and restore balance. Hypnosis works to reduce anxiety in two ways. First of all, it allows you to relax while you are performing the hypnosis or having it performed on you. Second, you can implant the suggestion in your subconscious that you will be less anxious in certain situations.

Hypnosis and anxiety are old friends. Today it is relatively common to use hypnosis to reduce anxiety. This is because the benefits of using hypnosis to reduce anxiety have been around for many years and it’s relatively easy to see that hypnosis is in fact very effective at reducing anxiety. When the cause of the anxiety is more deeply rooted, cognitive behaviour therapy is extermely effective in helping the client understand their underlying thought processes and how these can be challenged and reframed. The client is taught how to use effective coping strategies to increase feelings of calmness and relaxation in all situations that provoke an anxious response. Using these types of therapies will not empower the client but result in long lasting personal change and open up new possibilties and enable them to start living life with joy instead of fear.
